Just got a call from my TeleDesign rep saying they've shut their doors

Pretty much the title, just got off the phone with my TeleDesign rep and he says that effective immediately their doors are closed, no more product is being manufactured or sold, and good luck to you. Has anyone else heard this? Thought it was pretty surprising, I have several clients with TeleDesign radios so if anything ever fails, it'll be eBay or moving to new radios systemwide. Yikes!

That probably means they're entering bankruptcy. If there is a large enough installed base, there's a good chance that someone will buy the rights to the product line from the estate.

Is your rep a distributor for TeleDesign or actually TeleDesign?

Their website looks normal, still lists products ans contacts.

If it is your local distributor, maybe they are closing.
