Hi all,

I have a configuration of 4 kinetix 5500:

position 1 -> H025 shared AC/DC
position 2 -> H025 shared DC
position 3 -> H008 shared DC
position 4 -> H008 shared DC

randomly the drive 1 and 4 go in precharge state (1-2 times per week).
To exit this precharge state at the beginning i made a run/program/run
transition on CPU.
Today i simply let the machine in manual, so after a timeout the enable bit of the drives goes down.
At this point the drives exit the precharge and go in stopped state.
When the enable bit goes on again the drive goes in running and operate correctly.

Did you experienced something similar?
Thanks to all

Hi,

If you can, have a look at this RA Knowledgebase article for some pointers...

626724 - Kinetix 5500 Drive: Stuck in Precharge with Main AC applied
Access Level: TechConnect

Unfortunately I don't have access to TechConnect. Today I opened a service ticket with Rockwell.

They opened my mind on a few points.
It seems that my ladder sequence is wrong.
I probably have to put a delay between the drive enable and the positioning request. Rockwell technician also says the drive should not go precharge.
I will keep you informed

thanks again!

Hi, can you share the ticket number, and if you solved this issue please?
Have same issue with going into pre-charge also DC Bus Voltage is showing 550V.
Thanks.
