Measuring Motor Inrush Current

Slip frequency is the difference between the syncronous rpm based on motor poles at rated freq and the actual name plate rpm.

On a 4 pole 60 hertz motor syncronous speed is 1800 rpm and most motors are rated any where from 1725 to 1775 shaft speed at rated load.
