I have 4 Micrologix 1000's all connected together via 1761-net-aic's using DH-485. I want to use a MSG block to read one of the other PLC's or Write. When I attempt to do a simple read of a single N7 register it faults all except the plc with the MSG block. I get a EEPROM Corrupt fault and have to reload the programs. Any ideas?

HMMM? Pretty strange.

Check your grounging on the ML1000's and the AIC's. Then double check it.
Then after your done check it again. Do it by the book no exceptions.

No freakin way. Do the three controllers all fault simultaneously ? Are you firing more than one MSG instruction at a time ? Does this happen with messages sent from any of the controllers, or only one ?

I've never heard anyone describe such a thing. Can you post the program(s) ?

Mikey thanks I'll check that out. I didn't do the original install. I am adding to it.
Eddie that was my response also...I have only tried it from one controller. No special code, I was just looking to see if I could do a read before I went any further. The code was just one rung a bit before the MSG Block that's it.
