Original system was PV300 and ML1000. Comms is via 1761-NET-AIC. That setup has been working for 10 years or so.
Connecting laptop via standard RS232 port connects to ML1000, but kills comms to PV300. That was the only issue.

We needed another output. Upgraded to a ML1200. Copied program from ML1000, changed processor setting, and downloaded to the ML1200. Then added extra rung for new output. The ML1200 won't talk to the PV300. Lights are flashing, but PV300 says "error 612 - no nodes...". Reconnect ML1000 and it works.

RSLinx Autoconfigure shows the ML1000 at 9600, the ML1200 at 19,200.
PV300 shows 19,200. PLC name is "Micro". PV300 is set for "Micro".

DCOMM light is off. I can't see how to change ML1200 comms in RS500. It's DF1.

This should have been easy. I've been trying different settings for hours. What am I doing wrong?

Hardware:
PV300 2711-K3A2L1 SER A, REV C, FRN 4.20
ML1000 1761-L32AWA SERIES E, FRN 1.0
ML1200 1762-L40AWA SER C, REV H, FRN 12
AIC 1761-NET-AIC SER B

RSLinx 2.54
PanelBuilder32 3.83.01
RS500 Don't remember, but same vintage as above.

Does your ML1200 one port or two? If two ports the Programmer/HMI port is fixed at DF1 protocol. You will have to use channel 0 and change its protocol to DH485 to communicate with your DH485 Panelview, you do this under channel configuration. See pdf below

Thanks. That did it. A picture is what I needed! Special thanks to yasirkhi for that one.
I was looking at Controller Properties. You can see comms there, but can't select DH485, etc.
After changing, RS500 reported it was going offline. After that, I couldn't communicate. Had to press the comms button for 1 second to illuminate the DCOMM LED. This put's the PLC in default comms mode (DF1, RS232, 19200 Baud). After programming, press the comms button again for 1 sec to turn off the LED. That restores DH485 and PV300 comms.
