A question for those in the forum. Does anyone know if you are allowed to use Power Limited Tray Cable (PLTC) rated devicenet trunk in overhead drop ceilings without the use of a tray?

PLTC-ER should be OK as it is rated for surface mount.
It must also be plenum rated.

something that is rated for both tray and plenum.
