Looking more and more like a hoax to me, however he's still going after it. I think it may be a few more months before we know for sure who got scammed. There are now a dozen or more websites dedicated to his "fans".
Steven Krivit has the most damning reports against him.

Really there isn't a lot of good new information yet. Defkalion is supposed to be open to 3rd party testing but I don't know what is really going on there either.
