Procedure for transferring RSLogix Studio 5000 License from one PC to other PC

Dear Sir,

We have Windows 10 Dell laptop with RSlogix Studio 5000 installed in it. Now we have purchased a ex-proof laptop with Windows 10 and need to transfer license for RSLgix Studio 5000 from old laptop to new one. I kindly request to provide step by step procedure to accomplish this task please..... I hope after rehosting the license all applications like RSLogix 5000, RSNetworx for ControlNet, RSNetworx for Ethernet & RSLinx Classic will work properly.....

Rockwell licensing support is free. You can call them for step by step instructions.

In brief, you need to Rehost Activation on the old PC then Get New Activation on the new PC. If you don't have your serial number and product key then you will need to contact Rockwell support.

They also have an online Tech note that describes the procedure. It is free to access but you must have an account created on Rockwell's support site (it is free to create an account). Once you have it setup, then follow the link below. Note that Rockwell is shifting some licenses away from what they refer to as "Flexera" licenses to "Codemeter" licenses. Rehosting your license essentially disconnects the license from the current PC and returns the license to Rockwell. This allows you to then go to the new PC and assign (host) that returned license to the new PC.
