All discussion above is for 1771 ASB and modules
With 1794ASB it is a little different.
First what series 1794ASB you have? This is very important.
Only series E supports 32 points modules and has different DIP switch settings tham all other modules.
First get the User Manual;
Ser E: http://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/um/1794-um009_-en-p.pdf
Older Modules: http://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/um/1794-um003_-en-p.pdf
With any 1794ASB adapter supports up to 8 physical modules.
With 32 pt modules and ASB/E you can use 32 bit addressing and this will take up to 2 logocal racks. See examples in the first manual.
