Hi All,

I have had a little search through the archives but I cant seem to find anything on this issue (surely I cant be the only one to have it), so apologies if this has been covered 1000 times.

For the past couple of weeks I've noticed that when I try and open a project from Simatic Manager I cant view my local drives (C and D). I can only view mappings of those drives automatically created by Windows 7, Documents, Videos, Desktop etc. Also the 2 mapped drives I have setup will work but just my 2 local drives that wont.

Anyone come across this before?

Cheers

B

OK. I can do that on Monday I guess. Get me over the post weekend blues.

If I uninstall it what will happen to the license? Will it stay on the PC in the license manager or.... what precautions (if any) do I need to take to ensure my license is intact?

Do you have unconnected network disks in Windows explorer?

If it wont cause to much trouble you can try you can try to disconnect them so that they disappear from Windows explorer

This caused a similar problem for me once

Blimey Charlie. Re-connecting my network drives worked!

I did reinstall Step7 before trying this and that didn't help.

However my 2 disconnected network drives were the problem. Thanks for the help!
