Transfer project from PC to HMI(tp177b pn/dp 6"cstn)

Hi everyone I'm having trouble transfering a projec from my PC(wincc Flex 2008 sp2 Win7) to an HMI simatic panel(tp177b pn/dp 6"cstn).

I 've tried with serial, usb-usb and ethernet(crossover) cables with no success, all I get is a message error when I click on overwrite on existing file
Error message says: "The DLL tr_ce_HmiEs.dll was not found"
"The transfer DLL was not found"

before trying to dowload the project I activate the transfer mode:

I was thinking about using an SD card instead though I don't know if those are compatible with this HMI, I suppose if I use one it should be formatted before saving the CSV files and save them on the SDcard adapter(microSD) directly on the root.

I hope you could help me with some of your knowledge.

You don't even get to the part where it actually starts to download - so it's a wincc/your computer kind of problem.

There are some bugs in wincc with download on 64 bit machines (and perhaps others too).

I suggest you update your wincc to SP3 and the latest updates.
Then when wincc is working and you are going to download, the system will want you to update the OS as well in the HMI. Just so you know.

Hi I tried to upload the SP3 but got an error message when installing the first or second component from SP3 update 1, installation cancelled itself.

after that I tried to dowload my project and the WINCC asked me to confirm the panel OS update(I didn't get this before), until then the panel let me do the transfer, it was great an such a relief thanks.

I checked if my wincc got updated to sp3, certainly it wasn't cause installation was cancelled almost since the beginning.

so transfer was a success even though SP3 installation wasn't.

with this standard serial cable and connected like mentioned before is the way I got communication between panel and the PLC and activate/cancelled/visualize the PLC bits.

I could notice when transfering the project that if by any reason I made a something differently I couldn't dowload the project and even if changed the
settings correctly, because the wincc platform got stuck and had to close and reopen the project then I could download with no problems.
