UIC-1747 Converter not connecting to PLC

this may be to simple but he UIC has a switch to select between the RJ45 plug and the 9pin din plug you have to be sure to select the hard port you have the cable plugged into.
and use the correct cable for the 9 pin din for I RJ45 I use a cat 5 Ethernet patch cable
