Has anyone found a way to convert/replace/update the firmware on old Parker TS80xx series HMIs (i.e. TS8010, TS8006, etc) to accept Crimson programs? Seems like Parker changed just enough in the base code on the HMIs to not work with Crimson programs.
I had a Parker TS8010 HMI (actually a Red Lion G10 HMI with a Parker housing) this week. After dealing with the frantic production managers and learning as much as I could, I found out how to convert the DSI8000 files to Crimson 3.1 files.
I plan to pre-emptively replace another Parker before it has issues, but I'd love to use it as a training unit to learn more about the Red Lion units and Crimson software. I also have 3 other Parker units in inventory that I'd love to save from the trash can if possible. I can't believe Parker would remove all download sources of their software making ALL existing HMIs effectively paperweights...
I have already downloaded the software and been playing around with it on my computer, but nothing beats actually loading programs to a device for training and demos.
