USB to PCMCIA Adapter

There was big thread on this awhile ago. I don't think there is any such adapter that will work with a PCMCIA card. I was interested in that too. The adapters that were out there were mainly for modem cards and such.

There are PCMCIA to USB adopter on Amazon but I doubt they will work well with PCMK. IF the OP tell us what the objective is then we can provide better alternatives.

I was shopping for a simlar thing on the weekend.

My newer PC has only a ExpressCard slot, so I was looking to get an adapter to plug my PCMK in through the Express slot.

I think this solution may work, as they are both extensions of the PCI bus, but the USB-PCMCIA? - I doubt RSLinx would know where to look for it. The driver is looking for it to be in a certain area of IO address.

I am also going to keep my two old laptops around for the purpose of having PCMCIA and a real serial port.

For the price of $399 you probably better off finding a good used laptop that has a PCMCIA port...

There are PCMCIA to USB adopter on Amazon but I doubt they will work well with PCMK..

Correct they will not work, the only PCMCIA on the market that I have found is just a reader, so they would work for a flash card but nothing much else

ApSol, I would sell your old stuff on ebay and put that money towards a 1784-U2DHP
