Can anyone tell me why when I try to open sample code pograms from this site, i receive an error saying Problem Decompressing File For Restoration.

I guess you are referring to ZIP files. Are you using WinZip or another zip programme? I have tried to use 7-Zip and it often returns an error about a corrupted file. The file is not corrupted and quite frankly I am getting to the point where I am going to have to buy WinZip.

no need to buy a zip/unzip program, use this free one:

I have used it for a couple of years and it always works well, no errors.

It is not a zipped file that I am trying to open. The error is coming from RS Logix itself.

What file? RsLogix 5,500, or 5000? What version you running?
