CLX-->KF2-->SLC5/04 Example?

I haven't been able to find any examples of CompactLogix (DF1) to 1770-KF2 to SLC 5/04 (DH+) message instructions.
Anyone able to achieve this? I only want to be able to read.

I have it all connected.
I can see the 5/04 through my laptop via serial cable.

Problem I'm having is for the message instruction.
I have my path set as 2, 0
Communication method is CIP.
I don't get an error when it triggers, but don't get a down either.

Anyone care to take a guess.

Processor has correct serial settings, (Same as laptop)

Path is 2, 1
Message type is PLC5 Read (or Write if I had to, but I'm only reading)

I guess I thought it was more complicated then it ended up being.

And based on the responses, you are probably the only one who has done this ( your exact setup). ( or one of a very few)
That KF2 box is getting pretty old now. I have seen one working for the last 18 years now without a hiccup.

Maybe I should post all results in case someone else tries this.
Next I will try 2 slc 5/04's on it.

I only wish this would work with an ENI module.

The knowledgebase was kind enough to state it was possible, but no example.

Even better, I can map through the compactlogix processor to go online with the 5/04. Seems pretty good at 9600 baud.
