Hello. I have a couple of very basic questions about RSL5000. I went through training many years ago but haven't used it much since. First, the project I am working with has mainly FBD. When I am online with a CLX and looking at the function blocks of a Boolean value, I see a "0" and sometimes a "1". I assumed it was showing me in run time (more or less) what the condition of the input or output is. I ask because I have a door switch that I change the condition on and that number does not change, on the RSL5000. Of course it could be the switch is bad but I am thinking more that it isn't displaying that run time data.
Second, why is it that some Input devices or tags have a dot in the end of them and others don't? I am not talking about the dot to indicate an inverter, I am talking about the tiny dot in the end. This isn't limited to the inputs, outputs have them as well. Final question, is there a way to take an FBD and convert it to ladder logic, to read it? Thank you.

So the 0/1 should be updating to show you the status of the switch. I would check and verify you have the correct tag and then check the status of the switch.

The dot you see indicates Boolean. A pin with a dot is expecting or outputting a a true/false signal. A pin without is expecting/outputting a value.
