referance to this discussion bellow, I have also faced same problem. in my situation I have to be ensure 60 packet inside a carton ater gluing, i.e. in FG it need to be confirmed that there is no shortage. If anyone have the answer please help me.

eagerly waiting for a solution.

I have to mention you that, our total packaging sytem is fully manual and shortage inside FG due to neglency of our worker. I have tried to use weighing system but can,t because weight range is too high that cover a weight of a packet.
thanks

I am asking this question because i think that someone may encountered this situation.

i am searching for a sensor that can detect the abscence of a box inside a carton. the carton contains 50 boxes, 25 in each side.
and the 25 are arranged in 5 by 5. if there is a sensor that can detect emptyness so i can tell that the carton is fully packaged or not thus i will be sure 100% that our production line gives excellent quality.

i did not use weighting system because i need online check that will not glued the carton, so it will go out opened.

thank you all for your help.

If you can't use weight the only other option I can think of is a vision system and it gets complicated and expensive in a hurry going that route.

is this vision sytem can detect box shortage inside finished goods?

thank you

No but an automated packaging line with vision can varify individual components as they are packaged.

Or a combination of weight and vision depending.

I am still unclear as to why weight checking will not work.

If the vision inspection can be performed before the case is closed and sealed then the vision system would work if there is a regular pattern to the product inside the case. The test is ... could YOU tell by looking at the filled case whether or not it is full. If so then the vision system would probably work.

After sealing weight is probably the only test for a filled case. Precision weighing systems should be able to discriminate a 1 (or more) in 60 difference from proper weight even if the product's weight is low relative to the packaging.

Can you state the tare weight of the packaging and the net weight of the 60 packets?

What is that all about? You have waited nearly 7 years to ask a question!

Weighing is the only way. It is used throughout industry for every product made.

Pharmaceutical packing machines can detect if 1 pill is missing in a box of 1000.

You just need the right system for your needs. Get in touch with weighing machine specialists in your area.
