I did not use Snap7 for my projects, I use Libnodave.

I have used both. Snap7 seemed to be better documented and had greate examples.

It has been years since I used libnodave so maybe I just had a better understanding of programming when I used Snap7.

They both accomplish the same thing. Just go about it differently.

Hi,

Libnodave is a bit chaos in the beginning .
But I managed to write a Class with Libnodave integrated in it.

So I can read and write my tags in a simple way like:

S7Class.Receivefloat(ByVal DBnr, ByVal Index)

The weird things about how to get the right length and so on are all integrated in my Class. The Class can read and write bits, words, doublewords and floats from DB's.

Bu I agree that Libnodave was not plug and play...
