G'day guys,
I am setting up a s7-300 as a test rig for the workshop and when I downloaded the PLC is not going into run mode, I keep getting a parameter assignment error in the CPU.
Any help on fixing the issue would be appreciated

Please show the details of diagnostic messages 1 and 4.
When did this start happening?
What happened just before the problem first occurred?

Maybe there is a discrepancy between the actual hardware and the setup in the TIA project.
List all modules in the rack.
Post a screenshot of the device configuration in TIA.

Not sure how it works with S7-300 in TIA. There is usually a quite precise error diagnostics when you use S7-1500.
(not used to S7-300 in TIA)

The only error now seams to be the attached images.
I can completely remove the analogue input on the card address 288 and the fault disappears and if i move it to another input the fault follows the first addressed analogue input.
Hope that makes sense.

You have a problem with the AO module. If you right click it and do "Online Diagnostics" you should get a more exact error.

I will check it out tomorrow, never though of checking the module has it had no errors directly reported.
Thanks for going out of your way to help mate, highly appreciated 👍

The top left little icon tells you there is a problem (see attached image).

Could be missing 24V or (crazy enough) I've had someone forget to put the "U-shaped" backplane connector that connects the modules to each other. Could be that the module is not firmly seated on the rail or U-shaped connector. Or it's the wrong module selected in the configuration or wrong module installed in the rack.

Total re-write from scratch

I have totally started from scratch for this one trying to find the issue.
All the program does is scales the 5 analogue inputs and does absolutely nothing with them (as basic as I can get to replicate the fault).
I have also change the slot numbers and locations of the modules to no avail.
I have attached screenshots of the modules as requested and also the diagnostics buffer.
Thank-you guys for all your help thus far

P.S. The fault is any showing up when the inputs are configured to do something, if I load just the hardware config, I get no errors??????

Tom
