Vijeo Designer runtime error

Hi guys, we have encountered this event message on the XBTGK 5330 oit:
"Application has halted due to: java.lang.OutofMemoryError: tag event manager. IVM: except C: line 302". Please see attached image.

What will be the cause of it and how can I fix it? Thank you in advance.

I have encountered this same error. I saw this error on the HMI touchscreen after I downloaded to it. I deleted a variable that I was no longer using SoMachine with Schneider Electric M238 processor & Vijeo Designer with an XBTGT4330 model Schneider Electric Magelis HMI.

The application would build successfully with no errors, but when downloaded, I received the following error: Application has halted due to: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Startup IVM : except.c : line 302

My only way around it currently is to keep the variable, even though I am not using it. My hunch is that maybe the variable is still in use somewhere in my HMI project, but is not showing up in a cross-reference. Another theory I have is that when I delete the variables, the re-compile doesn't shift the memory properly.

I am having other strange things happening randomly like the touch screen HMI application freezing up or locking up. My only concern is that the HMI locking up problems that I am having may be somehow related to the variable / memory error problem.

Hi,

That usually happens either due to memory overload. Are you logging data at a fast rate, are you running too many scripts, mathematical computations , FOR loops, large bitmaps, large arrays - basically memory hogging applications ?

During runtime go to configuration menu in your Magelis -> check memory usage .

Also, under the Vijeo help file look for "Project optimization".
