Electrical drawing CAD general idea

Hi,

I am learning electrical drawing software now.
I am trying to understand about this stuff but I cannot get the main point. How is the proces to use it in a industrial project?

Suppose I have a project to build a controler for "transport belt" with some PLC, motor, profibus, etc...
What should I do for the first time?

maybe it sounds silly question, but for me it helps me getting the general idea of the electrical drawing CAD..

The first thing you should do is find out the relevant electrical standards for the area where the machine is going, i.e. Europe, USA etc.

You will need the IEC electrical block libary.

Using ACAD is the same as using a pencil

First plan your drawing.

Actually have you got any existing drawings on ACAD?

Cant you look at that format and use it as a template?

So everything (complete system) are designed by the designer in general..right?

and then what happened with the specific hardware like PLC, Profibus,contactor,Fuse, etc...?
Does the designer also have to choose them?

Yes...I have ePLAN P8 student version.

Yes. altho some large company's separate out parts to specialists.
Most PLC programmers will know how what hardware to use, do the ACAD drawing, and select the correct network interface, to talk to othr machines,
You need to have knowledge of the whole design. If you dont know the hardware you cannot write the program, if you have to know the hardware you are going to have to draw it for someone to built it so most here will know ACAD and PLCs and general electrical engineering.

I had PLC programming, Industrial Networking lesson, SCADA programming, but not the Industrial electrical drawing.
That is why I want to learn it.
