Hi all,

i have a customer that shuts the power off to the plant several times a year to do work on their substation, consequently all plc's power down as well.

when power is restored only the AB ML1200's give them a problem. the plc faults out because it looses communications with the expansion i/o modules 99% of the time.

i suggested that they set ststus bit S:1/8 - fault override at power up since i have had to set that bit on several slc 500 units.

the software (rslogix 500 ver 5.50.00 )gives an error an won't let us set the bit, it says the bit is not writeable.

it it my customers software version or is this truely a read only bit?

thanks in advance,
james
