Greetings Folks,
This is my first post after a long gap (almost 13 years) on this forum and i hope that i will get things fixed with your professional help and support.
I have three units being controlled with three independent PLC control. Each PLC is redundant (1756-L71) with its own Its (Point IO chassis and 1756 IO chassis). Each Unit PLC (UCP-X) is configured with two DLR networks. DLR network # 1 with blue dotted lines is connecting the redundant controller chassis with its IO chassis. The supervisor node for DLR # 1 network is the ETAP device. Each Unit PLC (UCP-X) has a secondary DLR network # 2 with green dotted lines which is connecting the three UCP panels (UCP A-B-C). The supervisor node of DLR # 2 network is one of the 1756-EN2TR devices in the redundant controller chassis of UCP-C.
The DLR networks are working fine however, i noticed excessive amount of errors and intermittent faults on DLR # 2 network. One of the EN2TR devices (inside the synched chassis of UCP-C) link 2 LED its solid green and it shows port 2 as half-duplex whereas all other EN2TR devices are full duplex. I understand that on DLR network, baud rates of all devices must be identical however i don’t know how to change that 1756-EN2TR baud rate to full duplex?
Screenshots for the topology and DLR tool topologies for both networks are attached herewith for your kind consideration.
Potential Problems:
DLR # 1 network - A lot of errors being faced on this network as well as when i go online with UCP-C LOGIX program, i noticed that UCP-B EN2TR is continuously going on fault (under the properties) and then clear by itself within short period of time. Is this due to the fact that the supervisor EN2TR port 2 is shown half duplex and the LINK 2 LED is solid green not flashing? How can i fix this issue?
DLR # 2 network - This network is more stable however as you can see from the DLR network topology the secondary ANETR adopter is crossed out and even in LINX i can’t access its Network Configuration. Further, the secondary ANETR adopter Network Status LED Is blinking green not solid green like the primary ANETR adopter. Also ETAP link 2 LED is solid green. How can i fix this problem?
