Been awhile since being on here.
I’m looking for supplies of small Stainless-Steel auger/feed screws. Probably about 1.5 – 2” in diameter with pitch, shaft diameter and length not critical.
Basically, if there is a supplier that may have stock augers, I’m flexible.

Thanks,
Bob O

What size food chunks or pellets are you feeding? Ground chicken feed, rabbit pellets, grain for cow/horse/pig, large size dog food, Monkey Chow (which is BIG pieces)

For industrial I have only dealt with powders, but Direct Industry has a variety of systems, they might sell just augers.

For powders my favorite is the Liad PowderSave

Cool Factor: Just searching for the link I found a magazine article about the first system I built using their dispenser on

Large size dog food is about the size.

Thanks

Any farm tractor suppliers in your area?

They usually have trailer mounted augers for farmers to move grains for feed and crops

EDIT{ Also there are smaller 'poultry feeders' that are shorter, but might not handle chinks like dog food, as they are designed for ground feed

It's a home feeder project.

Thanks

If this is for large dog food sized chunks a 2" diameter auger might not be big enough, especially if it has a center rod and not just an unsupported spiral.

Flex-Auger has this spec sheet showing the allowed pellet diameter, their 2" (56mm actually) only handles 6mm feed and it doesn't have a center rod.
