I'm having trouble setting up a Net-ENI to connect to a ML1500

I can load and save eni configuration over RS232
I have the eni configured to 192.168.001.254 subnet 255.255.255.0 (the fault light is no longer flashing)
My IP is 192.168.001.253 subnet 255.255.255.0

I can ping the eni module and get a reply, but I can't save and load eni configurations over ethernet (using com port redirector), nor can I see the PLC on RSLinx using ethernet.

Is there anything else I need to setup?
Using RSLinks, how should I be connecting to the plc, linx gateway or ethernet/IP?

Regards,
Colin

In RSLinx I would suggest using the "Ethernet devices" driver. After you create the driver you have to configure it with the IPs of your PLCs and/or NET-ENIs. The Ethernet/IP driver does work but it's kind of flaky so I don't use it.

Also, make sure that the COM port settings (baud rate, etc) of the ENI exactly match those of the PLC it is connected to, or they won't talk.
