Hi

We had a faulty DO card giving SF error in our Siemens PLC setup model 326-2BF01-0AB0 and we replaced this 326-2BF41-0AB0 I/O card.
We updated the hardware configuration for the new module, set the correct DIP switch settings as per the new Address assigned by the system

After downloading, the SF error is no longer there and everything is good on the card.

But whenever we try to Force any of the output channel from the force table, the card goes to fault and then we have to reset the card again the card and the error goes away and the card becomes healthy.

Any help on this will be highly appreciated

The 326-2BF41-0AB0 looks to be a failsafe module. You can't force failsafe I/O.
What are you trying to accomplish with the forcing?.

Hi, I didn't know we can't force the fail safe modules by forcing the I/o we are trying to see if the comected I/O points are working or not that is why we tried forcing the I/o from the variable table.

Be sure to revalidate the safety functions related to that card and perform the acceptance test. This is required to comply with safety standards.

How to revalidate the safety functions related to that card?
